Hi,
I wanted to scan a normal MALDI target (192 AB) with the 4700. After defining the wells for the 4700 imaging tool and starting the scan, I saw that the instrument stays on one well and continues to scan the same poistion instead of moving to the next one. I rapidly understood that it stays on the active position.:!: ❓ Even by changing to batch mode it still stays on the active position and gets stucked.
Thank you for your help in advance.
The behavior you are describing lets me assume that you are trying to acquire an image with the ‘Acquisition Mode’ in the 4700 acquisition method set to ‘automatic’. That works only if you defined a spotset matching your image raster. Otherwise, the instrument will always acquire a spectrum from the spot nearest to each image point.
