After installing Biomap on my laptop, I registered and got a license. However, even after reloading the software, it still shows as unregistered, although the output windows shows the license is properly decoded:
PBMT_SETUPSTRUCTURES: Home directory (UserDir) set to C:\Documents and Settings\suns1\Application Data
PBMT_SETUPSTRUCTURES: Temp directory (TempDir) set to C:\DOCUME~1\suns1\LOCALS~1\Temp
FBMT_CHECKFEATURE: Decoding license…
FBMT_CHECKFEATURE: License type: OK = Local
FBMT_CHECKFEATURE: Feature MRI = 0
FBMT_CHECKFEATURE: Feature MSI = 0
FBMT_CHECKFEATURE: Feature WIP = 0
FBMT_CHECKFEATURE: License will expire in 1000000 days
Any ideas? Thanks in advance for your help.
This is a problem with computers which allow you to enable/disable multiple network connections (wireless, lan, activesync). I have not yet found an elegant way to resolve this issue. Here’s the crude way: open a command prompt and type ‘ipconfig /all’. You’ll most likely see multiple entries similar to ‘Physical Address. . . . . . . . . : 00-0B-CD-07-C3-E0’. For each of these, copy the numbers without dashes into the ‘Software ID’ field of the registration form and get a license for each entry. Then try – one of them should do the trick… 🙂

Thanks for the reponse. I did what you suggested: I have three different Physical Address and I got three licenses. I tried all of them, and got the same symptom as before. Anything else I can try?
Thanks.

This issue needs more attention. ❓ I’ll contact you offline and I’ll post a solution to this forum should it be a generic problem.

OK, I compiled a new version which should solve the issue. Please download the file http://www.maldi-msi.org/download/BioMapSav373.zip and unpack ‘biomap.sav’ to the ‘bin’ directory of BioMap (rename the existing one as backup). Get a new license file and it should work. Please let us know… and make sure that you enter the ID for registration in the exact same case as it is shown in BioMap…

Thanks, Markus, it is working now.
