We have been using ABI-4700
Currently, We use ChIP(SHIMADZU) equipment for analyzing spotting Tissue by 4700.
I focus on this site because I interested in Maldi image.
I did install the Biomap program and also 4700 imaging program.
But I don’t know how I can use that.
1. I know Biomap work in the part of analyzing data, but 4700 imaging program. Is it the program which just makes *.img file for operation of Biomap program?
2. Can I make img file using other programs?
3. I can get the image from the chip, Is this image different with the image from ABI-4700? And can we analyze by the image from ABI-4700?
4. I saw one method in a web site. That is analyzing after matching the four points of tissue from the video of 4000 explore after opening the MSI imaging software. Is it correct?
5. If this method is correct, please teach me that specifically.
I’m a beginner, so I’m lack of the knowledge in this part.
Please understand me and help me
6. What’s the meaning of the length of X- axial, Y- axial and the point of X-, Y- in 4700 imaging software?
If you have descriptions about ABI-4700 or 4700 imaging software, please send them to us.

Thank you for reading.
Welcome the field of MS imaging. While most of us apply commercial instruments for our experiments, it still takes some learning before we can obtain good results. The required skill can be learned either directly from the instrument manufactures (most of them have application chemists familiar with imaging) or through a visit to a dedicated academic imaging lab.
