Front Page › Forums › BioMap › Re: Licensing the biomap
Hi
I am having problem in updating the license file, i received licenserc file after registering and activating key for the software. I copied licenserc file to programfiles/biomap, where the all the main files are located, and even to setting folder. when I run the biomap idl file from bin folder, it is just opening and it is not updating the license and all the menu items are invisible. I even created a licenserc file by coping 6 lines from email and copied to appropriate locations.it does not work, I am not sure what that prevents updating file. I tried two different computer, it does not seem to work, I was very frustated after spending 10 hrs in trying to install it.
I am running IDL VM with vista 64 operating system , I even tried at Win XP ops. it did not even work.
Here is Biomap output file:
PBMT_SETUPSTRUCTURES: Home directory (UserDir) set to C:\Users\Mic\AppData\Roaming
PBMT_SETUPSTRUCTURES: Temp directory (TempDir) set to C:\Users\Mic\AppData\Local\Temp
FBMT_CHECKFEATURE: Decoding license…
FBMT_CHECKFEATURE: License type: OK = No license
FBMT_CHECKFEATURE: Feature MRI = 0
FBMT_CHECKFEATURE: Feature MSI = 0
FBMT_CHECKFEATURE: Feature WIP = 0
FBMT_CHECKFEATURE: License will expire in 0 days
Did you also try to copy the file to the user dir, in your case C:\Users\Mic\AppData\Roaming?
thanks for your reply. irrespective of where I put the license file, when I start biomap, all the menu items are disabled and still shows unregistered.
I tried installing in a three different computers, none of them helps. I am gonna try on ubuntu linux system, let me see…
