Front Page › Forums › Misc › Smoothing the MS Peaks
I am a new learner in the field, and wish to know that should we apply smoothing to the peaks, while doing kinetic studies of a particular protein, in which case areas of the peaks are very much important, and as you know that smoothing has no limit, and hence it changes the values constantly. What to do then?
MS images are typically generated from peak areas and smoothing will not enhance the result if you have many data points over the peak.
