Hi, I’m having trouble opening the biomap software- the error message says:
"the following error was encountered: OPENW: Error opening file. Unit: 100, File C:\Documents and Settings\mugford\Application Data\biomap\uparsrc"
Any advice?
I couldn’t find a file or folder called UPARSCR anywhere- do I need this to run the program?
many thanks
Sam
Sam,
the ‘uparsrc’ file you can find under
e.g. C:\Program Files\BioMap\settings
and it should be there … at least it is installed there by the actual downloadable version of BioMap. Maybe you can’t see it due it’s not visible? Check Windows Explorer – Tools – Folder Options – View
Cheers,
Dieter
Dieter, thanks- yes found the file (and copied to where the error message indicated where it expected to find it)- but still getting the same error message.
any insights?
All the best
sam
Dieter- I also tried opening the UPARSRC file and changing the location of the BIOMAP software from C:\program files\biomap to the actual location and this didn’t help.
I will try installing the software on the C: drive to see if this helps but i’ll have to get admin rights first, which will take some time…. if you have any other suggestions please let me know
thanks!
